PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Ready mixed adhesive, based on starch and synthetic polymer.
AREA OF USAGE
Adhesive for hanging glass-fibre fabrics, wallpapers of vinyl with a paper backing, on surfaces like gypsum-, chip- and fibre boards,
concrete, wall plaster and painted walls. To be used in dry areas.
WORKING INSTRUCTION
PRE-TREATMENT OF WALLS
Gypsum-, chip- and fibre boards Jointing tape/strips over the panel joints. Fill and grind gaps and nail/screw holes. Concrete or grout Fill and grind gaps and holes. Wallpaper Remove any loose wallpaper and cut up the corners. Fill and grind, joints, overlaps and irregularities. Paper born vinyl wallpaper Loosen and take away the outer layer. Continue like the paper hangings. Painted walls Grind and wash with paint wash. Rinse with water. Irregularities are filled and grinded. Pre-bonding might be necessary on very absorbent surfaces and/or during extremely dry conditions. This is done with Wall Fabric Adhesive 70 diluted with 1 part of water.
HANGING
Glass-fibre fabrics Apply the adhesive in an even layer on the wall. Apply adhesive for 1-2 cut pieces. Hang while the adhesive still is wet. Put the cut pieces edge to edge or overlap and cut clean with a corner knife. Press the wall-substrate carefully with a plastic- or steel spatula. Do the fixing as late as possible where the material is going to be cut.
Painting of glass-fibre fabrics can be done 24 hours after the hanging. Vinyl wallpaper with paper backing, acrylic- and vinyl coated wallpapers Apply the adhesive in an even layer on the backside of the wallpaper. Fold the cut piece in both ends and let it swell for 5 minutes. Hanging is normally done edge to edge. Press the wallpaper carefully with a plastic- or steel spatula. Overlap bonding of vinyl wallpapers are done with Wet Room Adhesive 78. Follow instructions stated by the manufacturer of wallpapers.
