Fall arresting mechanism with seat belt TOP LOCK 71460, 2.5 m

The fall arresting mechanism with seat belt TOP LOCK 71460 is a safety element when working at height. The retractable fall protection system consists of: a 2.5 m long and 50 mm wide belt with an inertia braking system. The seat belt has a shock absorber, 2 carabiners and a protective cover. Tensile strength 15 kN, dynamic braking force 6 kN. The fall arrest device is part of a personal fall protection package and complies with the general fall arrest device standard EN 360. The fall arrest device is designed to protect only one person at a time.

The fall arrest device must be attached to the rear or front attachment point of the full harness using a hook attached to the belt. Attaching the automatic unit to the positioning belt is strictly prohibited. Attaching accessories between the strap hook and the attachment point on the harness is strictly prohibited. The shape and position of the fastening must not allow the device to spontaneously open or become detached from the fastening. It is recommended to use a certified and marked anchor point that complies with the requirements of the EN 795 standard.

Before each use, the fall arrest device must be thoroughly visually inspected to ensure that the device is free from mechanical, chemical and thermal damage. The locking system must be checked by sharply pulling the strap (the strap should snap into place) and then releasing it (the strap should retract). If the device is damaged or if its condition is in question, the fall arrest device cannot be used and must be sent for inspection.
