Hammerl FB2 is a blue and white polyethylene vapour barrier membrane designed to protect insulated roof, wall and ceiling structures against water vapour penetration. It helps create an airtight layer and reduces the amount of moisture entering the thermal insulation and other parts of the building structure.

The membrane has an SD value of 145 m and a material thickness of 200 μm or 0.20 mm. One 4 × 25 m roll provides 100 m² of material before allowing for overlaps and cutting waste.

Installation: install the membrane on the warm side of the structure according to the building design and thermal calculation. Form the required overlaps and seal all joints airtight using tape intended for vapour barrier membranes. Connections to walls, windows, pipes and other building elements must be sealed with suitable system tapes or sealing adhesives.

Avoid damaging the membrane during installation. Seal accidental holes and tears airtight before closing the structure. The actual covered area will be less than 100 m² because overlaps, cutting and installation waste must be taken into account.
