MATIZOL Solvent-Based Bitumen-Rubber Primer 18 kg

MATIZOL Solvent-Based Bitumen-Rubber Primer 18 kg is a ready-to-use primer designed for preparing mineral, bituminous and metal substrates before the application of waterproofing materials.

The primer penetrates porous substrates, binds surface dust and improves adhesion of bituminous mastics, torch-applied membranes and self-adhesive waterproofing membranes.

Application: the substrate must be sound and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil, loose material and other substances that may reduce adhesion. Remove loose rust from metal surfaces. Do not apply to frozen, frosted or waterlogged substrates.

Stir thoroughly before use. Apply one even priming coat with a stiff brush. Ensure that the material is worked into porous and rough substrates. Apply the waterproofing material only after the primer has dried completely.

Coverage: approximately 0.2-0.4 kg/m² per coat. One 18 kg container theoretically covers approximately 45-90 m², depending on substrate porosity and application method.

Safety: contains organic solvents and is flammable. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flames. Use only outdoors or in a very well-ventilated area. Wear protective gloves, eye protection and suitable respiratory protection.

Important: do not apply to expanded or extruded polystyrene and other materials that are sensitive to organic solvents.
