Sika Boom-582 Foam Fix Gun-Applied PU Adhesive Foam 750 ml is a ready-to-use, one-component polyurethane adhesive foam for professional application with a foam gun.

The product is designed for efficient permanent bonding of insulation boards, plasterboard and various non-structural building materials to vertical and horizontal substrates.

Substrate preparation: the substrate must be clean, sound, firm and free from oil, grease, dust, cement laitance, loose paint and other poorly adhering material. Remove loose and friable particles before bonding.

The product bonds without primer to many common building materials, including wood, concrete, brick, metal and aluminium. Carry out a preliminary adhesion test on coated, painted or unusual substrates.

Application: shake the canister thoroughly at least 20 times and attach it securely to a clean foam gun. Apply the adhesive in beads according to the insulation-board manufacturer and system instructions. Position and press the board evenly against the substrate.

Application temperature: the permitted ambient and substrate temperature is from -5 to +35 °C. The optimum product temperature is from +18 to +25 °C.

Working times: the foam becomes tack-free after approximately 8 minutes. A 30 mm bead can be cut after approximately 40 minutes. Lower temperatures and reduced humidity may extend the curing time.

Yield: one 750 ml canister produces approximately 40 linear metres of a 30 mm adhesive bead. Actual yield depends on bead size, gun adjustment, temperature, humidity and application technique.

Cleaning: remove fresh foam immediately using a suitable polyurethane-foam cleaner. Fully cured foam can only be removed mechanically.

Safety: extremely flammable aerosol. The pressurised container may burst if heated. Keep away from heat, sparks, hot surfaces and open flames. Use protective gloves, safety glasses and suitable respiratory protection in a well-ventilated work area.

Storage: store upright in unopened original packaging in dry conditions between +5 and +25 °C. Protect from direct sunlight and temperatures above +50 °C.
