AHJUSEGU
FIRE-RESISTANT MASONRY MORTAR
For laying baken brick wood-fired furnaces flues, ovens and fireplaces

PROPERTIES
High-quality masonry mortar of high plasticity, grey colour, fire-resistant additives.

COMPOSITION
Fine grain quartz sand (max grain diameter 0.8 mm), clay powder, fire-resistant adhesive
agents.

APPLICATION
For laying wood-fired furnaces, fireplaces, ovens, flues. For laying of refractory bricks.
Interior masonry works.

PREPARATIONS FOR WORK
Pour necessary amount of mortar powder into mixer or mixing vessel.
Add 24-26% water (6-6.5 l water per 25 kg bag).
Mix carefully manually or mechanically until the mortar is completely wet.
Let stand for 10-15 min and mix again.

TIPS FOR MASONRY WORKS
In laying baked bricks mortar layer should normally be 8-10 mm thick.
It is handy to use jointer for smoothing the joints.
For coloured joints leave about 10 mm hollow space and fill later with UNINAKS joint fill plaster of required colour.
Start heating of ready ovens and fireplaces carefully with small flame.

REQUIREMENTS AND PRECAUTIONS
In working with the mortar the temperature of stone, mortar and air must be over +1°C.
Unhardened ready mortar and freshly laid oven or fireplace must not freeze.
Avoid contact of mortar with eyes and respiratory tract.

STORAGE
Bagged mortar powder is to be stored in dry premises.
Storage time of mortar powder in normal conditions is 12 months.

NORMAL CONSUMPTION AMOUNT
25 kg bag yields 25-30 average-size bricks.
In laying refractory bricks consumption of mix depends on the size and shape of the bricks.
