MICROSPHERES — anti-slip additive
DESCRIPTION
Anti-slip polypropylene fillers added to JUNO paints and coatings. A controlled grain fraction with an average diameter of 180 microns is designed to improve slip resistance of floor surfaces, especially when wet.
USE: INTERIOR – EXTERIOR
An additive for a wide range of floor paints and coatings to achieve anti-slip class 3 (Rd > 45):
Junoretano, Poxemyc, Junosol, Dynapok suelos, Junopoxi, Pavimyc.
PROPERTIES
Easy to use
Provides a homogeneous and even coating
Does not alter the mechanical properties of the coating
Suitable for use with many JUNO floor coatings
VOC-free
CERTIFICATION
Anti-slip properties: Class 3 UNE-ENV 12633, Annex A
Junoretano 2/C
Poxemyc 2/C

SURFACE PREPARATION
CONCRETE AND CEMENT-BASED SURFACES
Allow the concrete substrate to fully cure (minimum 1 month).
The surface must be completely dry. Substrate moisture must not exceed 4 %, measured at a depth of 2 cm. The surface must be sound and free of dust, mortar, grease and loose particles. Minimum tensile strength is 15 kg/m².
To ensure proper adhesion, the concrete surface must be roughened and cleaned of grease, rubber residues, curing membranes, lime deposits and loose material.
Prepare concrete surfaces by milling or using high-pressure equipment. Afterwards, remove dust using a vacuum cleaner to obtain a clean, textured surface with improved adhesion.
To ensure compatibility with the existing substrate, it is strongly recommended to apply the product to a test area of approximately 1 m² and check adhesion before treating the entire surface.
APPLICATION
Before application, mix the microspheres into the paint in the following ratios:
1 pack per 4 litres of paint
4 packs per 15 litres of paint
Shake and mix the paint thoroughly until the microspheres are evenly dispersed. Apply the mixture using a brush, roller or spray equipment with a large nozzle (average microsphere size: 180 microns).
Before application, read the instructions for use of the selected paint.
SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS
Minimise waste by accurately calculating the required quantity based on surface area, porosity and texture. Store remaining material in a dry, well-ventilated place. Containers must be clean, properly sized, tightly closed and stored upright.
Protect containers from frost, high temperatures and direct sunlight. Collect unused product for reuse to reduce environmental impact.
Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling the product.
Surface preparation and application must be carried out using appropriate personal protective equipment.
In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Keep out of reach of children. Do not discharge into drains or the environment.
Dispose of at authorised waste collection points.
Consult local authorities regarding proper disposal of packaging and residues in accordance with regulations and environmental protection principles.
