Restoration of cast iron bathtubs and other enamel surfaces
USE
Sand the surface of the tub with coarse sandpaper. Remove dirt, grease and dust. The surface must be dry. Cover the tub mixer and the edges along the tub with tape. Use a foam roller for application. If there is no enamel in places in the bathtub, it is necessary to restore the coating with PENOSIL Premium FastFix Aqua epoxy putty. If necessary, sand the covered areas until the entire surface of the bath is smooth.
Priming: thoroughly mix the primer and hardener together. The time of use of the primer after mixing at a temperature of + 20 °C is approximately 45 minutes. When applying with a roller, some of the primer is poured into the tub, so you may not use a paint tub/pad at first. The bathtub can be painted 12-24 hours after priming.
Painting: before applying the enamel layer on the primed surface, perform intermediate sanding and then clean the sanding dust from the primed bath surface. Then mix the enamel and hardener together thoroughly. Use a roller or a high-quality brush for painting. Use of enamel after mixing with hardener at a temperature of + 20 °C for about 45 minutes. When applying with a roller, some of the primer is poured into the tub, so you may not use a paint tub/pad at first. The bath is ready for use after 7 days (drying temperature is from + 20 ° С, air humidity is up to 80%). Clean the bath surface with soap and water before first use.
