Consumption Approx. 100 ml/m2 per coat; at least 2 coats required Planed or very dense wood has a lower absorption capacity and may require a 3rd coat

Areas of use

• Outdoor wood
• Wood without contact with the ground
• Dimensionally unstable wood components, e.g. fences, frames, carports, wood cladding
• Wood components with limited dimensional stability, e.g. folding shutters, profile boards, garden houses
• Dimensionally stable wood components (only for priming): e.g. windows and doors
• Base coat, intermediate coat, top coat
• Not suitable for application on floor surfaces (terraces, wooden decks, etc.)

Properties

• Three in one: impregnation agent, primer and stain
• Protects wood against moisture and UV radiation
• Impregnation effect: saturates the wood against moisture
• Open to diffusion protective layer: moisture can escape
• Hydrophobic: wet surfaces dry quickly Protection against atmospheric precipitation (construction wood protection and product moisture protection) reduces the risk of blueing and rot

Preparation

Completely remove all previous paint (e.g. thick glaze or decorative paint), bark, splinters, dirt. Remove loose or cracked branches and exposed resin areas and clean them with a suitable agent (e.g. solvent and brush cleaner). Sand and dust smooth and planed wooden surfaces as much as possible before painting to ensure better paint absorption. Observe the instructions in BFS information bulletin no. 18 “Coatings on wood and timber materials outdoors”.

Material, ambient and base temperature: min. +5 °C to max. +30 °C.
