Caparol Capatect SIL-SI Fassadenputz K15 1.5 mm Silicate-Silicone Decorative Render 25 kg is a ready-to-use dispersion-based decorative render containing a hybrid silicate-silicone binder. It creates an even K15 scraped texture with a grain size of 1.5 mm.

The product is designed as a finishing coat for façades and is suitable for the Capatect STANDARD A external thermal insulation system with mineral wool and the Capatect STANDARD B system with expanded polystyrene. It may also be applied to concrete, sound mineral renders and firmly adhering existing dispersion-based paint coatings.

Suitable substrates:

• Capatect STANDARD A thermal insulation systems with mineral wool.
• Capatect STANDARD B thermal insulation systems with EPS boards.
• Concrete surfaces.
• Sound mineral renders.
• Firmly adhering existing dispersion-based paint coatings.

Substrate preparation: the substrate must be stable, even, clean, dry, free from frost and free from substances that may impair adhesion. The substrate and reinforced base coat must be evenly dry. Before applying the finishing render, the use of Caparol PutzGrund 605 is recommended, tinted to match the render colour where necessary.

Application: thoroughly stir the material with a slow-speed mixer before use. Apply evenly to the thickness of the grain using a stainless-steel trowel. Immediately form the required texture with a plastic float using consistent circular movements. Complete continuous surfaces without interruption using the wet-on-wet method to avoid visible joints.

Use material from the same production batch on each continuous surface. If containers from different batches are used, mix them together before application. Check the colour accuracy of tinted material before starting work.

Limitations: not suitable for wood, plastic or synthetic substrates, or for surfaces affected by salt efflorescence. Dark colours with a lightness value below 25 are not intended for use in Capatect STANDARD A and B thermal insulation systems.
