Caparol Capatect SIL-SI Fassadenputz K20 2 mm Silicate-Silicone Decorative Render 25 kg is a ready-to-use dispersion-based decorative render with a hybrid silicate-silicone binder. It creates an even K20 scraped texture with a grain size of 2 mm.

The product is intended as a finishing coat for façades and is suitable for the Capatect STANDARD A external thermal insulation system with mineral wool and the Capatect STANDARD B system with EPS. It may also be applied to concrete, sound mineral renders and firmly adhering existing dispersion-based coatings.

Suitable substrates:

• Capatect STANDARD A thermal insulation systems with mineral wool.
• Capatect STANDARD B thermal insulation systems with EPS boards.
• Concrete surfaces.
• Sound mineral renders.
• Firmly adhering existing dispersion-based coatings.

Substrate preparation: the substrate must be stable, even, clean, dry, free from frost and free from substances that may impair adhesion. The substrate and reinforced base coat must be evenly dry. Before application, the use of Caparol PutzGrund 605 is recommended, tinted to match the render colour where required.

Application: thoroughly stir the material using a slow-speed mixer. Apply evenly to the thickness of the grain using a stainless-steel trowel. Immediately form the required texture with a plastic float using consistent circular movements.

Complete continuous surfaces without interruption using the wet-on-wet method. Use material from the same production batch on each continuous surface. Mix materials from different batches together before application.

Limitations: not suitable for wood, plastic or synthetic substrates, or surfaces affected by salt efflorescence. Dark colours with a lightness value below 25 are not intended for Capatect STANDARD A and B thermal insulation systems.
