Strait-Flex ORIGINAL Composite Flexible Corner Tape 61 mm × 30.5 m is a flexible composite profile designed for reinforcing, straightening and finishing internal and external plasterboard corners.

The profile is suitable for 90° and off-angle corners. It is installed using standard plasterboard joint compound without nails, staples, screws or other mechanical fasteners.

Applications: internal and external wall corners, bay windows, niches, attic slopes, vaulted ceilings, coffered ceilings, tray ceilings and other non-standard plasterboard details.

Surface preparation: plasterboard panels must be securely fixed to the supporting frame. The surface must be dry, clean and free from dust, grease, loose material and other substances that may reduce adhesion.

Installation: measure and cut the profile to the required length. Fold the profile along its flexible centre line and adjust it to the required angle. Apply a sufficient layer of suitable joint compound to both sides of the corner.

Press the profile into the fresh compound and adjust it to form a straight corner line. Use a joint knife to press the edges firmly into place and remove excess compound and trapped air.

Apply a thin finishing coat over the profile. After drying, apply the final coat and feather it into the surrounding surface. Allow the compound to dry completely before sanding, priming and painting.

Important: the profile can bridge gaps between panels, but loose board edges, substantial openings and major framing defects must be corrected before installation.

Storage: store in a dry place in the original packaging. Protect from moisture, direct sunlight, physical damage and deformation.
