Strait-Flex UNO-BEAD 222 Composite Flexible Corner Bead 56 mm × 30.5 m is a heavy-duty flexible composite profile designed for reinforcing, protecting and repairing internal and external plasterboard corners.

The profile is particularly suitable for high-traffic areas where corners may be exposed to impacts, dents and other mechanical damage. It can replace conventional metal corner bead and can also be used as a permanent repair solution for damaged metal or plasterboard corners.

Applications: suitable for internal and external plasterboard corners, door openings, corridors, stairwells, schools, hospitals, offices, commercial premises and other areas exposed to frequent impact.

Surface preparation: plasterboard panels must be securely fixed to the supporting frame. The surface must be dry, clean and free from dust, grease, loose material and other substances that may reduce adhesion.

Installation: measure and cut the profile to the required length. Fold it along the flexible centre hinge and adjust it to the required internal or external corner angle.

Apply a sufficient layer of suitable plasterboard joint compound to both sides of the corner. Place the profile into the fresh compound with the printed side facing out. Press it firmly into place using a joint knife and remove excess compound and trapped air.

Apply a thin finishing coat over the profile. After drying, apply the final coat and feather it into the surrounding surface. Allow the compound to dry completely before sanding, priming and painting.

Important: the profile can bridge common gaps between plasterboard panels. Large gaps, loose board edges and major framing defects must be corrected before installation.

Storage: store in a dry place in the original packaging, above ground level and protected from weather, moisture, physical damage and deformation.
